Whether its a puncture repair, servicing or a full custom build, our team of mechanics here at Evolution Bikes are on hand to take care of almost anything your bike can throw at us. With a collective experience of over 45 years of cycle servicing we can guide you through anything from a full custom build to changing brake pads with fair, honest and transparent pricing. Getting your bike back on the road as quickly as possible is our main priority. We look at every job on an individual basis and will only charge you for the work we do.

Our store offers workshop services and are fully kitted out to complete all manner of jobs on site. There are experienced mechanics there to assist you with keeping your pride and joy in tip top working order. For us to run a fair and transparent operation we take bookings online – this way we can assess what needs to be done and arrange a date that suits for you to drop off your bike with us. We can also assist you with bookings whilst you’re in store or over the phone – we remain as flexible as possible to your specific needs although we always try to keep a resemblance of order to the waiting list at busy times. There is a limited amount of bike storage so we can’t always accommodate


How Does It Work?

If you've a bike purchased from Evolution that is in need of an urgent repair, Please don't hesitate to get in touch with the workshop directly (Preferably via email), and we will do everything you can to get your bike fixed as soon as possible.

To ensure that all workshop jobs are carried out as quickly as possible, plese ensure to enter the details of your bike and the problem when booking your bike in, there is a box to enter the details on step 5 of the booking process: all bikes are assesed on arrival and the most suitable level of service will be offered along with a estimated quote before work commences


Evolution Bikes Policy for the Servicing of E-Bikes

Please read carefully the information below before attempting to book your E-Bike in for a service

There are now many makes of E-Bike available in the market place, with a range of
electrical operating systems. These are not all of the same quality, and do not all
meet the same standard of health and safety requirements. The only E-Bike systems
that we will accept for service are:

• Bosch
• Brose
• Shimano
• TQ

All E-Bikes fitted with the above operating systems will be accepted for service as
long as they are intact, as originally designed and produced by the manufacturer.
Any modifications subsequently made to the electrical system after purchase will
render any warranty null and void, may pose a risk to safety, and we will not accept
such altered E-Bikes into the workshop, either for electrical work or non-electrical
maintenance. We will also not accept bikes that have been retro fitted with electrcical
systems.

If your bike is affected by this, we reserve the right to cancel any bookings and/or refuse the drop off of the bike at the door.

These requirements are for your safety, and the safety of our staff.

Book My Bike In

Ready For Collection

Once the repair is complete you will be contacted by a method of your choice:

To let you know the repair is complete and the bike is ready for collection.

Collection

On collection of your bicycle we will talk you through all work undertaken and highlight any areas which may need further attention. You will also receive information detailing work done to your bike, with all information available at any time at a later date. Repairs are payable on collection. Our workshop is incredibly busy and we value our storage space in order to continue to be able to offer great service and turnaround. After completion and notification of any work, bikes will be stored for 7 days free of charge. Any additional time in storage will incur a charge of £10/day unless previously arranged with the workshop. We ask if you would like additional time to collect your bike please confirm with the workshop by email on workshop@evolution-bikes.co.uk

E-Bike Service Collections


For E-Bikes purchased at Evolution Bikes, we are now offering a collection service for workshop bookings, to have your bike collected, serviced then delivered back to you. Click Here to read more.

Workshop Prices

Bronze - £60

  • Drivetrain checked for wear, aligned and adjusted (hanger alignment included), chain lubed.
  • Brakes checked for wear, aligned and adjusted (DISC OR RIM).
  • Tyres checked for damage, pressures checked and set as appropriate.
  • Headset checked for wear and adjusted, Bar / Stem torqued.
  • Bottom bracket checked for wear.
  • Seatpost removed and seatube greased.
  • Wheel Alignment checked.
  • Torque Check all Allen/ Torx Bolts
  • Frame wiped down.
  • Test ride bike.

Silver - £90

  • Drivetrain checked for wear, aligned and adjusted (hanger alignment included), chain lubed.
  • Brakes checked for wear, aligned and adjusted (DISC OR RIM).
  • Tyres checked for damage, pressures checked and set as appropriate.
  • Headset checked for wear and adjusted, Bar / Stem torqued.
  • Bottom bracket checked for wear.
  • Seatpost removed and seatube greased.
  • Wheel Alignment checked.
  • Torque Check all Allen/ Torx Bolts
  • Frame wiped down.
  • Complete removal of Drivetrain and degrease using Smartwasher
  • Check wheels for damage/wear, trued, spoke tension checked, cleaned and refitted
  • Clean and grease wheel skewers
  • Test ride bike.

Gold - £160

  • Drivetrain checked for wear, aligned and adjusted (hanger alignment included), chain lubed.
  • Brakes checked for wear, aligned and adjusted (DISC OR RIM).
  • Tyres checked for damage, pressures checked and set as appropriate.
  • Headset checked for wear and adjusted, Bar / Stem torqued.
  • Bottom bracket checked for wear.
  • Seatpost removed and seatube greased.
  • Wheel Alignment checked.
  • Torque Check all Allen/ Torx Bolts
  • Frame wiped down.
  • Complete removal of Drivetrain and degrease using Smartwasher
  • Check wheels for damage/wear, trued, spoke tension checked, cleaned and refitted
  • Clean and grease wheel skewers
  • Remove bottom bracket, clean, regrease, reassemble.
  • Remove forks and headset, clean headset cups, regreased and assemble.
  • New gear cables supplied and fitted.
  • New brake cables supplied and fitted.
  • Disc brakes bled.
  • Test ride bike.


20% discount on labour only will be applied to all bikes bought from Evolution Bikes. Discount is only applicable to Bronze, Silver and Gold services.

During our busy times (May- September) we will prioritise customers that have bought bikes from Evolution Bikes, this could mean that there may be no availability in the workshop for several weeks


ELECTRIC BIKE SERVICE (BOSCH/SHIMANO/BROSE/FAZUA)


As above services but includes:

E-Bronze - £80

  • Motor bolts checked and torqued.
  • Error and diagnostic check.
  • Firmware updated with printout supplied (where possible).
  • Service interval set (where possible)
  • Test ride bike

E-Silver - £120

  • Motor bolts checked and torqued.
  • Error and diagnostic check.
  • Firmware updated with printout supplied (where possible).
  • Service interval set (where possible)
  • Chainring/ Lockring torqued
  • Test ride bike

E-Gold - £200

  • Motor bolts checked and torqued.
  • Error and diagnostic check.
  • Firmware updated with printout supplied (where possible).
  • Service interval set (where possible)
  • Chainring/ Lockring torqued
  • Remove motor covers, clean and refit
  • Remove motor from bike, clean and refit, retorque bolts
  • Gear and dropper post cables replaced (where applicable)
  • Electrical connections checked including lights.
  • Test ride bike

Free firmware updates for bikes purchased at Evolution Bikes.

Dirty bike charge - £30

Whilst we understand bikes are they to be ridden, we ask that all bikes that are booked into the workshop are presented in a clean manor. If not, a dirty bike charge will be added to the service fee.
